A winner at Listowel on his reappearance, the Henry De Bromhead put a subsequent disappointing effort behind him when making all under John Gleeson to land the concluding Hurling For Cancer Research Supported By Centra On 18th August (Q.R.) Race at Leopardstown.

Sent off 5/2 second favourite, in a market dominated by the 2/5f A Piece Of Heaven the seven-year-old Authorized gelding was never headed.

With A Piece Of Heaven proving very disappointing, it was Next Stop Paris who stayed on late to finish second on his stable debut for Rory Devine.

Winning jockey John Gleeson reported: “I’m delighted, it’s nice to get another winner on him.

“He’s a lovely horse and has a good, honest, attitude.

“It was very straightforward. In a small runner field he enjoyed it lobbing away out in front. It was a nice performance by him.

“It’s quick ground out there but he handles it.”
