Ma Belle Etoile made amends for a disappointing fencing debut at Tramore when easily landing the opening Wexford Town Mares Beginners Chase.
Sent off 3/1 under Darragh O'Keeffe, the Henry De Bromhead trained mare chased leader Littlebiggie before taking over at the head of affairs soon after jumping the third last.
Skipping clear on the approach to the penultimate fence, the six-year-old stayed on strongly to score by three-and-three quarter lengths.
Henry de Bromhead said: "We were disappointed with her at Tramore. We hoped we had her back right, which we did thankfully, and I'm delighted for all her connections. She just didn't seem to be 100% at Tramore, but I'm delighted to see her do that today. She's always looked a promising mare.

"We might enter her in the race at Galway next week (Guinness Open Gate Brewery Novice Chase). It's a blacktype novice chase and it would be great if she could get blacktype.
"She is a gorgeous looking mare, so it would make her even more valuable as a broodmare going forward. We'll give her the entry, but it's not a firm plan."
