Miss Doyenne rounded off a fruitful day for Henry de Bromhead and John Gleeson, as she claimed the concluding Cork & Waterford Mares Point-To-Point INH Flat Race.

Completing a treble for de Bromhead and a double for Gleeson, the easy-to-back winner was returned at 7/2 (drifting from 15/8).

The winner of a point-to-point at Cragmore when in the care of Roger McGrath, the successful Doyen chestnut was settled in mid-division on the inner, taking closer order with over six-furlongs to race.

Improving into second early in the straight, she was ridden into a share of the lead with less than two furlongs to go, battling on gamely in the closing stages to see off the effort of Torpille Dagrostis by half-a-length.

The runner-up was returned at 11/2 under Harry Swan for Gordon Elliott, while 66/1 outsider Crohan Lady was another two and three quarters of a length away in third.

Well-backed into 13/8 favouritism (having touched 4s earlier), Simply Natural led early in the straight, but faded tamely in the closing stages and eventually finished fifth.

"I'm delighted to win these same two bumpers again this year and for Henry (De Bromhead) and Emmet (Mullins) again, so I'm grateful for their support," Gleeson, who was earlier successful on Clay Pigeons reflected.

"She is a fine big daughter of Doyen, did that nicely and will be a nice mare for next year. Once she gets a jump in front of her again, it'll only bring about more improvement."

Henry de Bromhead had earlier claimed the first and third, with Good N' Kind and Coming Up Easy respectively.
