The COLM QUINN BMW Handicap Hurdle at Galway produced a thrilling finish with Red Glory (4/1) and 2/1 favourite The Nagger Reidy flashing past the post locked together.
Red Glory had raced close to the pace and led on the approach to the last, but he was strongly pressed on the run-in by the staying-on market leader and it was on the nod at the line with Red Glory getting the verdict by a nose.
The winner was completing doubles for trainer Henry de Bromhead, who was on the mark with Nouvotic at Wexford, and jockey Paddy O'Brien who had partnered Hees Dynamite to win earlier on the Galway card.
Assistant trainer Robbie Power said: "He ran a great race in Fairyhouse the last day, which was his first run after a wind operation and it seems to have helped him.
"Paddy gave him a great ride, he is great value for his 5lb claim and with the horse carrying top-weight, it was important to take the 5lb off. He just held on.
"He likes a bit of nice ground so we'll keep him going for now and see how he comes out of this. It is great for the lads (Garristown Aintree Syndicate) who are great supporters of the yard and that's the third race he has won for us."
